When we saw that the multi talented Niamh Branigan was hosting a Self Care Saturday we thought to ourselves, hmm, this looks interesting. And we weren’t disappointed.
Here is Niamh too tell us all about it …
- Starting at 11am the event started with warmup then a HIIT workout with Annette O’Shea.
- Then there was a 5 minute breather to grab some water and take a breath before letting loose and dancing with Niamh.
- After that they finished up an active section of the morning with a nice cool down and stretch with Yogi Caoimhe O’Malley.
- To finish off the event they had chats with nutritionist and life-coach Lauren, where she provided some of her top tips on how to keep looking after yourself and how to get healthier as we emerge out of lockdown!
And here is Niamh again to give us all a little teaser on how it all went down …
Some information on Niamh
Born and bred in Dublin I studied for my degree in Film, Literature & Drama, I then moved over to London to get my MA in Acting at ArtsEd. Since then I have worked on some great productions such as Roddy Doyles’s ‘The Snapper’ in The Gate Theatre, Ireland’s leading soap ‘Fair City’ and travelling to The Edinburgh Fringe, The Vaults Festival and The New Theatre with Hairpin Production of ‘Save + Quit’. But unfortunately 2020 arrived and acting came to a quick hault.
I trained as a Zumba instructor in London and began teaching for ‘The Body People’, I would also attend as many classes (as I could afford) in Pineapple Dance Studio & Studio 68. So bringing all of that experience with me I moved back home and started up NB Dance Fitness Online Classes and it’s grown and grown ever since.
